Policies and Disclaimers
Thank you for visiting my website. By using this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of my Policies and Disclaimers. If you do not agree with any part of my Policies and Disclaimers, please refrain from using this website or accessing its content.
HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP)
Under the HIPAA Privacy Rule, therapists must provide a Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP) which describes how the entity uses and discloses Protected Health Information (PHI) and outlines patient rights regarding their PHI. Read my Notice of Privacy Practices here.
Privacy Policy
A privacy policy is crucial for any website collecting personal information. This policy addresses the collection, use, sharing, retention, and security of data like names, email addresses, and phone numbers used for booking appointments or communication. Read my Privacy Policy here.
Cancellation Policy
I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. This is a practice in protecting time that is reserved just for you. I do my best to accommodate short- and long-term shifts in scheduling needs. If you cancel or reschedule an appointment within the 24-hour time frame, or don’t show up for an appointment, you will be charged your full session fee. In the event of an emergency, the policy will be waived.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services. Read more about Good Faith Estimates.
