How I Can Help
Deep within each of us lies a wise guide shaped by our experiences, values, and intuition. Trusting this inner voice allows us to face life’s complex challenges with clarity and steady resilience.
Areas of Support
People seek therapy for many different reasons—from specific emotional struggles to major life transitions. Whatever brings you here, our work together is focused on helping you find a realistic, manageable path forward that respects your unique history and goals. Below is a breakdown of how I can help, including my primary areas of focus and my general practice areas.
My Primary Areas of Focus
Trauma & Healing the Past
PTSD & Chronic Trauma Symptoms: Intrusive thoughts, nightmares, insomnia, and constant hyper-vigilance.
Childhood Trauma & Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs): Early adversity, childhood abuse, and emotional neglect.
Relational & Attachment Trauma: Long-standing emotional wounds from difficult family dynamics or broken trust in close relationships.
Cumulative Stress: Psychological and emotional wear-and-tear of prolonged, compounding life stressors.
Nervous System Dysregulation: A body stuck in chronic survival modes like fight, flight, freeze, or fawn.
How I Can Help: We look at how past trauma lives in your body today. By exploring your early relational history and the unconscious roots of deep-seated emotional patterns, we identify where the pain truly started. We work gently with your wounded, protective internal parts while integrating body-centered awareness to safely release stored physical tension. To help you navigate distress in the present moment, we will build practical mindfulness and distress-tolerance tools to ground your mind and body. Together, we can safely process past injuries and rebuild lasting internal security. The goals of our work would include:
Finding Relief: Calming a hyper-reactive nervous system and developing actionable coping skills to manage intense emotions.
Healing Roots: Processing childhood trauma and early relational wounds to change your current relationship patterns.
Relationship with Self: Unburdening conflicting internal parts, learning self-compassion, and rebuilding self-esteem.

Feelings of emotional distance
How I Can Help: I treat the relationship itself as the client, using our sessions to unearth the underlying habits that keep you stuck in repetitive loops.
For couples work, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and a Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT). These attachment-based frameworks map the automatic responses carried from infancy into adult bonds, allowing us to reshape communication and rebuild emotional security.
For family work, I use a family systems approach to view the family as an interconnected emotional unit rather than isolated individuals. Together, we map out dynamics and shift away from blame toward collaborative support.
Please note that due to the format of Telehealth, I typically limit family sessions to dyads (two individuals, such as a parent and teen, or two adult siblings). This intentional format helps ensure everyone in the virtual room receives high-quality, focused care.
Therapeutic Support During Personal Tragedies
Sometimes, a devastating event upends your life, and you need intensive support to stabilize. I have experience using our therapy sessions to help you process profound trauma and severe loss, and I can offer increased session frequency or schedule special sessions to support you through these periods. This includes working through:
Domestic abuse or intimate partner violence
Sexual assault or rape
Dealing with a loved one’s terminal illness, incarceration, or sudden or violent death
Pregnancy termination or acute reproductive grief
If you are going through a personal tragedy, we can work together within our sessions to help you find your footing, process the shock, and regain stability.
Please note: As a sole practitioner, I do not provide 24/7 crisis response or emergency on-call services. If you are experiencing a medical or life-threatening emergency, or are in immediate physical danger outside of our scheduled time, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
